Annie Claire Miller is a multidisciplinary artist who enjoys experimenting with various materials and challenging conventional perceptions of artwork through controlled and structured degrees of abstraction.
She draws inspiration from surrounding environments, people she connects with, or archives she’s gathered over years of making. In 2023, she received her BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, majoring in New Studio Practice and minoring in Digital Media Production. Miller’s studio work revolves around preserving memories and mental technicolor. She often mobilizes her practice as a time capsule of collected digital media, with occasional spontaneous ideas or intuitive experiments.
She resists closing herself off from any single mode of production and continually creates to achieve a sense of catharsis. Her work has been exhibited at Between Two Galleries, Meltwater Studios, and the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.
